First Anniversary Event for Seafront Village Library
December 6, 2025 + Halicarnassus, Lavender Beds (Ward 21, Plot 26) + 7-11 PM EST

(BGM: Song of the Ancients - Jazz Arrangement)
What is this event?
Tales of the Sealed Verses is an anniversary event to mark the end of the year for Seafront Village Library. Though we had planned something much more grand, this is in place, and hopefully you'll be able to enjoy it as is. A night of community, stories from the Stars beyond, and small drinks to keep you warm, take the time to unwind and enjoy what the Library has to offer you this coming winter season. What exactly are the 'sealed verses'?
The Sealed Verses in NieR lore are a collection of powerful spells that can only be learned by Grimoire Weiss and Nier during the first half of Gestalt/Replicant. Mentioned only in folklore, more specifically, the Song of the Ancients, translated by Popola and sung by Devola. Once all 8 of the Verses are obtained, only then can they defeat Grimoire Noir and the Shadowlord, freeing the realm from the Black Scrawl and restoring peace to the realm. In terms of the event, the Sealed Verses are both a metaphor and a parallel to the feats of Popola's friends in their past lives, instead of almost tearing the realm apart on a wild goose chase for Grimiore Noir. Instead, we'll choose to just sing the tales with you all, even if it's the same ones the Verses came from themselves. What should I expect?
Though very different than the usual opening, folks still have the option to use the space just as you would back at the apartment, just with an added layer. The occasional stray notes of music in the basement, muddled with an array of voices downstairs, could make for some good background noise as you pick through the shelves upstairs. Popola will be downstairs for the majority of the event, either sharing tales and taking questions or helping behind the bar for guests (and herself).Expect to have an even more lax RP experience than usual, though somehow a bit more lively as well. You're encouraged to mingle on either floor at whatever speed you'd like to. AFK is more than welcome if you'd just like to enjoy the tales yourself. What's next?
Going into 2026, we're currently looking at upgrading to a bigger venue for you all! Though we may have to move Data Centers, I promise that no matter where we move our roots to you'll be able to get to us easily. Consider this a trial run to see how you like the bigger location; either way, we'd move to something bigger to stretch our legs in. The transition may and most likely will have growing pains, but please try to stick with us during that time. We will tell you when it's ready.Attack on Seafront is still underway! We're in the works on getting a new date/time; however, it will be in 2026. I'm working hard behind the scenes to make it go better than before, and when I can give you all of the details, I will.

Opening Announcements
Opening announcements will commence at the top of the first hour, a collection of thanks, and an overall reflection on the last year with patrons. You're welcome as a guest to share your memories and hopes for the coming year. If you'd wish to keep your praise quiet, the message book beside the entrance is open for your words to fill its pages if you're so inclined.Drink / Bar Services
Though a semi-open bar, we'll be serving all through the night in the basement of the venue from our small array of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. Drink services will begin after the initial opening announcements. We will let you know when services are open for the night! Seafront Village Library is not in charge of how much you drink. Drink at your own discretion.Live Storytelling
The main appeal of Tales of the Sealed Verses, a chance to sit around and hear a select few of the Sword and Sparrow Songs live, alongside the ability to discuss the stories afterward. Knowing most are a bit confused about the origins and motifs of the stories, Popola encourages conversation and questions after she's done reading. No questions are dumb questions!
You've been here throughout our time and have proven to be a great hand to the Library. Now we thank you for your dedication.
Copied Iris Cafe & Lounge | Naja Malkot
A friend from the beginning and a venue partner for almost years now, Naja has done nothing but fund, run, furnish, and help me and others be our best selves within the RP community. When both of us needed staff at events, we always traded who we had to fill the few gaps we had, which wasn't much, but it works! You are the first I go to for crafting, and the reason we can have nice things at the Library. Thank you.Visit copiediris.carrd.co to learn more.Kegs 'N Cogs
The venue that pushed me over into the RP Venue scene as a whole. The group behind Keg 'N Cogs helped me move into the apartment, and the initial crafting behind the build pushed the Library's name out there (and still does) when I couldn't. Also, nearly funding the entire apartment Library and the event plot, seriously, you all are insane and I couldn't do this without you. Though your doors are closed, I know your venue community will always lend a hand. Thank you.The Moogle Messenger | Feyre Nyxaris
The folks and the brains behind the team keeping PF's up at weird times, Moogle Messenger has been nothing but wonderful to work with, even on short notice. Though our time working together has been shorter than the rest, you've been nothing but wonderful. Thank you.Visit feyrenyxaris.carrd.co to learn more.NightRaid Network | Tetsuro Wulf & Scilla Nobuyuki
Where to even begin. From being a hub of curious and encouraging RP regardless of origin, a bustling market community, and a mountain of knowledge of the overall RP scene within the last year or so. Your community has been nothing but kind and welcoming to not only me/the Library but every single person that comes through your doors, regardless of who/what they are. Human, yokai, demon, what have you, you've always been excited and ready to encourage RP and community. Thank you.Visit nightraid-hq.tumblr.com to learn more.

Song of the Ancients.
An eon-long ballad sung traditionally by two twin girls, it tells the story of the beginning and eventual end of the realm as we knew it, though only Popola knows it as well as anything else. Usually a tale meant for late-night murmuring within the Library, Popola has decided that it's now her time to recount it to you. Though time has washed most of the full ballad from Popola's mind, there are some pieces she can tell.Tales of the Grimoires.
A story of a trio of teens turned into a set of sentient magical grimoires, two of whom have called Seafront Village Library home since they ended their travels with their adventurers. Though told usually in jest, it's strange that Popola keeps it under wraps around the floating tomes of its own tale. It's a longer story and may need some edits to make it easier for her to remember, however, not completely cut out. It'll certainly give Popola's grimorie companions a different light once finished.Ivory Blade - Patron Voted.
A sword hailed by a Virtual Songstress from a far-off city, whose world is torn at its seams by war. Though a strange favorite of library patrons as of late, it's not hard to argue why. Though a story of idol culture turned political swing, the virtue of her song and whimsy kept her people at rest. Seems like a tale from a not-so-far-off digital land, and it's...eternal reasonings. Not the same, though. It's weird it's happened twice, though.Something Very Special.
Though not a tale on our shelves, there's something about this one that feels...incomplete. Not unlike the collections of the Symphonic Sisters of Eld, where it's in active translation, but something more off the books. Though near the end of the night, it may be worth sticking around to see what could be amiss.
Drinks marked with a ★ are alcoholic.
Drinks marked with a ♦ are cold drinks.
Drinks marked with a ♣ are hot drinks.
(Gil is RP only, tips welcome.)
♦Nori's Lychee Soda | 700g
Not too sweet, not too bitter, much like its namesake, this soda-based drink is a pleasant mix of sweet lychee and a homemade muddled blackberry pomegranate syrup. Though the drink seems like it's ill-mixed with the soda, the layers could reflect the various skills and spells of Nori's combat style; however, it's just the thickness of the blackberry and pomegranate syrup! Served over pebble ice in a highball glass with a candied blackberry on the rim.♦♣Emil's Violet Tea | 800g
Short, simple, and magical, much like its namesake as well, this butterfly pea tea is good in either variant you choose to get! A secret favorite of Emil's, going out of the way to hunt the leaves down across Eorzea to serve to guests at his estate. Made using traditional butterfly pea tea leaves in a tea press, creating a vibrant purple tea. Loose-leaf tea is brewed on site if you choose to get the drink hot, while a pitcher of the tea is available on hand if you choose it cold. Served in a tea cup (hot) or in a highball glass (cold), garnished with a lemon wedge on the side, matched with a stirring stick of his own staff.★♦Kalani's Blue Soda | 900g
A simple yet brash drink, this small twist on a traditional vodka soda brings in a small splash of Blue Curaçao syrup to give it its signature blue hue. Dangerously refreshing and a small surprise to those expecting liquor, but only to be met with the light blueberry taste lingering with each sip. Served chilled inside a champagne flute with a garnish of the namesake's twinfangs on a stirring pick.★♣♦Popola's Welcome Sake | 900g
A not-so-appetizing drink from Popola's past is now made plenty appetizing! A simple cocktail formed around a traditional smooth Hingan sweet sake. Mixed with a light green apple soda and cinnamon, served either shaken cold or room temp. Garnished and served with a dried cinnamon apple slice on the rim, giving a small snack for those on the lighter end. Now mouse and lizard tail free!
